  2. This is the latest version of xlock (sccs version 22.3)

  4. This will start with patchlevel = 1.0
  5.  
  6.     There is a minimal Makefile which you may need to massage in order
  7.     to get it to generate the right thing from the Imakefile.  Neither
  8.     of these has been tested since we don't use Imake.
  9.  
  10. Changes since last version (1.8):
  11.  
  12.     Ability to set the nice level of the xlock process, to keep it from
  13.     hogging all of the cpu.
  14.  
  15.     -display is parsed to be able to lock unix:1, etc...
  16.  
  17.     new modal interface to different lockscreen screensavers.
  18.  
  19.     three sample modes.
  20.     -mode qix is the old spinning lines demo...
  21.     -mode life is a new implementation of Conway's Life simulation.
  22.     -mode hop is the "hopalong fractals" from last version.
  23.  
  24.     lots of bug fixes and code cleanup.
